Last weekend I shot in a steel plate match. It was the first time I'd done anything like that and I finished 5th, which I'm happy with. Alot of folks there had souped up guns, and I was shooting my bone-stock Glock 35. The whole match is shooting at steel plates that fall over when you hit them. Here's a video clip of the 1st stage:

That's not me shooting, but it's the exact setup they used. We were shooting for time only, so just one person was shooting at a time. One of my bullets ricocheted off the steel and through the railroad ties they had set up between bays and hit a guy in the ankle as he was walking back from resetting the steel. It hit him just above the ankle bone on the inside of his right leg. The bullet didn't lodge in his leg, but it cut him pretty good. I'm sure he's got a nice bruise now too.

I'm also shooting in a weekly league. It's action pistol, which looks like this:

It's a lot of fun, but it's not nearly as easy as it looks! I'm 8th in my division right now. They have different divisions for different types of guns. I'm shooting in the production division which doesn't allow any modifications. It's nice because I'm not competing against the guys with guns that cost a couple thousand dollars.

Well, that's about all that's going on for now besides work.
